It turns out I have a lot of information on the internet. I curated some of it for you, below. Feel free to browse.
Investing is hard. I highly recommend all new investors to speak with a registered investment advisor. They can help evaluate your financial situation and guide you on the sorts of investments that are appropriate.
What I do is come up with big ideas. For example, I might discover that front-end loaders are incredibly cheap right now. And I'll dig down and find the best value in front-end loaders that we could possibly own...but you may not want a front end loader!
That's okay!
As I told my readers for fifteen years - not every investment idea is right for you. We shouldn't say yes to every idea. Not doing anything - buying or selling - is the most powerful tool we have, as investors.
All investment have risk. Any ideas that I present are opinion. You absolutely should do your own homework to make sure that they meet your risk tolerance.
I spent the last fifteen years becoming one of the best natural resource analysts in the sector. I'm not giving that up.
You can find my writing on places like www.Streetwise.com. I'll post all my new publications here, too.
I'm in the process of creating something new. I'll keep you updated here. As the title implies, it's going to be targeted on conscientious investments.
Many of you wrote to me over the years, letting me know that was an area you were interested in exploring (yes mom, I was listening...)
I agree.
So, while I'm not abandoning my friends in mining and energy, we are going to add a new dimension to it. I'm up for the challenge, I hope you are too.
Over the years, I've had hundreds of thousands of subscribers. It was a truly humbling experience.
And if you are one, I'd like to hear from you.
Banyan Hill chose to close our natural resources letters just as our portfolio started to boom. So, drop me a line and let me know how you made out.
We spent three years building that portfolio. And I told you that the Bull Market would come...and boy howdy, did it ever.
I'm disappointed that I didn't get to finish that ride with you, so drop me a line....let me know how it went.
And I'd love to know if you took some profits to do something good...or something fun.
Here's the best part...we're going to do it again! Get on board...
I'm not an expert on investing per se...my expertise is finding ideas.
I have been fortunate to make some great choices over the years. But my experience isn't the same as yours.
That said, I know many of you have questions. And I can help point you in the right direction for answers.
I'll put together an FAQ on investing questions soon. And if you send me your questions, I'll include answers to those as well.
For new investors, here are some important things to avoid:
